I have left my BLOG a bit behind those nasty days at work drain my super powers !
The problem with BLOGs is the same with the whole forum : people use forums to get some specific information they need : then they just log out. They want specialiced content and are hard to make strong communities
Why am i saying that ? Well, BLOGs were never a hot spot at this site from the beginning. I may be the only person around here that - tries to - keep an updated blog, members do not get so excited about this area 
Anyway, enough with that, i have 
thought of a way to drive attention to the BLOG area : i will post important information or events HERE !
YourForum Community - 1st Member Gathering

If i did, punish me please !Anyway, i know they seem like quite some names there but personally i was disappointed as i was expecting more people to appear ( at least ALL local moderators & Privates not to mention the Elite... well, hlias_gr was noteven in Athens, so we are ok )
The place was only running for one day there were customers too, we had our snacks, our wine, our conversations and our Internet sessions there ( some people got to play with the XBOX 360s, others registered as customers to the station that hosted our event ) i am having some good memories of the event i liked it !
I like the most that people that could only be associated by a site could go out and meet in real life : this shows the power of the NET. And we could - i should - have arranged it way better, not on a regular day with people working after that, but Christmas was coming and there would be also a problem for people to attend.
I am thinking of a new Gathering when we have 1000 members but i really do not know when this will happen !
I love that the forum offers so many different options. I hate the forums that are specific to just one thing, usually the people are boring and you can only talk about one topic for so long, then you start repeating yourself. B O R I N G !!!
You know when I go shopping if I want shoes I go to a shoe store, I go in get my shoes and I leave ... quick and sweet. However if I don't know exactly what I want and I have money burning in my pocket I go to a mall .. where there is so much to offer that I run from one store to the next .. I may not buy in all the stores, but I sure remember where they were and I always come back when I have more money to spend.
YourForum is a mall dude ... some stores are more popular than others, but it is a place that is always revisited and remembered and thoroughly enjoyed. Some people have more time than others to play, just like some people have more money to spend at a mall.
I'm not a web journalists like Morbius, and I don't surf the internet like a pro .. but I do love games and I am a chatter ... this place is a haven for the likes of me .. people just need encouragement to interact with one another.
This is just an idea, but have you ever thought of using the arcade to nurture interaction. Like coding it so that when a member takes the highest score in a game that they automatically land in a post to write the comments about their score like they do when they are kicking butt. Then when someone else comes along and beats there score they are thrown into the same post, they make there comment taunting the previous high scorer. They do this already in the comment sections of the game, they could do it in a post then others could comment on this and get people talking. This just might lead them to other posts and interests here in the forum they were not aware of.
Its just a thought, and there would end up being a post for every game. But it just might work. I know it took me a while to start talking here, I wasn't comfortable until I started to get to know people, if you remember I bugged you and Hlias to pieces because I was always worried I was saying something wrong. After I started to get to know people, I was able to talk about how many times I masturbate a day, write my opinions on posts, laugh at jokes, and just generally pick on people for fun.
You've worked so hard, and the turn out at the gathering especially so near Christmas and on a work day proves that it working great. I mean come on Nick I am coming all the way from the States just so I can meet all of you, Athens and Greece has become my second reason to visit now.
