For the first time I said "ok let's watch it" even though I haven't seen any of the nominated movies.
Unfortunately I slept after Nicole Kidman gave the first Oscar of the night to George Clooney "Syriana" for Best Performance By An Actor In A Supporting Role).... ![]() Next year maybe.... ![]() -------------------- Imagination sets the spirit free,

Brokeback Mountain was an excellent flick. But it was just another really good love story. Ang Lee did a fantastic job and totally deserved the oscar. And to take it from a short story and turn it into that, was incredible. But I still think Crash deserved it. But Jake Gyllenhaal was robbed, I mean I love George Clooney and all, but Jake deserved that more
![]() Most irritating part was the win for Best Song..."It's hard out here for a pimp"...the 3 6 Mofia won that...totally stupid!!! There was nothing that interesting about it, and it wasn't that good. The academy threw a bone...lame! ![]() Jon Stewart said "Martin Scorcesee-0...3 6 Mafia-1" ![]() -------------------- "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me."

Very nice post sweet pea! I agree with you too. Crash was awesome and deserved the Best Picture ... Brokeback Mountain was great too, but we have seen the story before, just this time we saw it done to two men. However Jake Gyllenhaal was robbed like you said, I too love George Clooney, but Jake was awesome. I am also quite upset that Joaquin Phoenix didn't get Best Actor, he did a great job, I have seen Johnny Cash my whole life, and Joaquin had his movements, his expressions, his mannerisms down. He did a fantastic job. But I have to say this, I didn't get a chance to see Capote, so its possible I am not being fair.
And Viv this one was a bit of a snooze, not a lot of really good entertainment this year with the award show. But I've been watching them since I was a kid, and I got the daughter hooked on them when she was small, so we kind of make it a party every year no matter how bad the show is. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
