This is what happened in Greece on Thursday when 15.000 - 20.000 university students, employees and high school students gathered in the centre of Athens in order to have march and complain about the new draft of proposed law that concerns the creation of State Private Universities!!!The march was to end at the Ministry of Education!!!The march was turning out well and had almost reached the Ministry where cops were waiting with the roads blocked in order to stop the march reaching the Ministry. The students where not willing to leave without ending the march.Suddenly a group of anarchists (which was irrelevant with the march) intervened and started fighting with cops and throwing them things...Well the cops all they needed was a motive to break the march and they got really mad(it's like they have been told to from before...)The cops payed back with chemicals and sound grenades and made the atmosphere suffocating and the students couldn't keep up with the march and retreated. As the students retreated cops kept hitting them in every way even if they were simple innocent students and even they retreated...!!!!!!They even hit reporters and simple citizens. The march broke into groups with students running around the streets panipanicstriken just trying to save themselves from chemicals and beatting. They all headed towards Metsobeio University where students shelter exists and excludes cops from getting inside. All the roads around the march were closed and blocked by cops waiting to repress the march and catch as many students they could!!!Everyone tried to save himself in every way (even hiding in cafeterias and nearby lobby houses)just because they wanted to express their rights through a march!!!It all seems like this cop reaction was planned from before from the government...
The result was that the march was destroyed by a group of people that isn't even students and all they wanted is trouble...And by thousands of cops trying to show out their authority and strength to simple students. It is sad the voice of 15.000 students to be covered by these sad incidents. We have the rights for free education and the rights to express it!!!
At this moment more than 300 sections of 10+ universities are closed with students trying to be opposed to this law...
We'll keep on fighting to end...

there was a lot of determination from the cops this time... the same determination THEY ALWAYS LACK when they go to football stadiums... they just turn their back and watch a nice football game while people are beaten to near death behind their backs...

but this time they showed their skills. 100%

It's a really big issue, but you have to know that students tried to keep anarchists out from the march but you know how it happens...Every time the same thing...Stores and banks get broken...but at the end none of them is get caught!!!Of course all students are against at breaking shops and banks!I don't think that they all came from around Greece just for making trouble...Their cause was to have a march. The conclusion is that innocent people payed for the rest including shop owners! And the Ministry of defence has shown for once more that the past days is incapable of handling extreme situations.Cops caught 80 people from whom only 4 were arrested with accussations!!!They are such cowards, all they know is how to beat people up and catch the wrong people!Their job is to arrest but arrest the right ones (but they can't)...This shows how incapable they are of bringing up the order!!!Just a bunch of cowards who didn't know how to deal with 15000 students and their solutions was to break up the march by beating and throwing EXPIRED chemicals in the student's faces.(The police officer denied this fact although there are proofs and then he mentioned ''no one died from expired chemicals'' lol)
Anyway the point is that this law has its goods and bads but it concerns us all!!!!it concerns your jobs future and your children's future!Just think that we already pay institutions for our children in order to learn languages and succeed in Panelladikes exams, because greek schools are incapable offering right education to children..,Now imagine you have to pay for your childs university, rent and food. Now answer me to this...How many children will you have when all you are going to think is how to grow up your child! Will you exlude it from education?Of course,no!And what importance will your degree have when all these universities have been created? Greece must stop sleeping while politicians are approving laws!

I don't know if you have seen the pics i've posted but check out that they first catch the boy and afterwards even they have him arrested and laying on the street they hit him!!!
