To keep things playful around here, and to learn some more trivia i have this :
  • State your country when posting
  • post something about it that a tourist wouldn't know
  • it would better be something not easily found in travel books
  • it should better be as useful for a newcomer as can be
  • the funnier, the better
  • no contradiction to previous posters or quotes, just follow

United States / Southern California - When going anywhere on any freeway/highway between the hours of 5AM to 9AM and 3PM to 7PM any day add an extra hour to your trip ... you will be stuck in traffic.

Beware the public transportion (Buses and Subways) Avoid touching ANYTHING, just eww yuck contaminated, don't know where the person who touched it before you has been. AND on the upside, never a dull moment, since there is ALWAYS someone or something entertaining for you to watch. A fat man trying to sit in a little bitty seat between to shrieking girls in a bikini heading the beach, or a bag lady talking to the window or pole right next you. *Try not to laugh, and avoid eye contact with such characters if possible*
