Nick, you must keep in mind that price od Opera was 40 dollars untill recently, while all other browsers were free. That's what kept people away from it. Plus, Opera software is a small company, but still through the years menaged to inovate much more than competition. They invented tabbed browsing, to begin with.
Opera also opens all the tabs in case of a power out or crash, just like the Firefox. Opera is not open-source, but it is run by people with a vision and concern for common good. I've got nothing against Firefox. I've tried it, but it simply does not feel right to me. Opera has so much bettes cache menagement. Working with cache was a problem for Netscape, than later for Mozilla, and again for Firefox. |
