Arcade : Help Me Decide !, asking for help here Options

News are really disturbing, to say the least.

Ib Pro Arcade modification has always been free and open source.

This particular add on has been loved by forum members more than anything else : people, above all, want to play.

Anyway, we here feature one of the slickest Arcade sections that exist, the files were passed to me personally by the most talented of coders for the Arcade, Cyber.

The problem with those files is they are ZEND encypted : the source is just never available for evaluation.

The site i got to ask Cyber in person is www.ipbarcadegames.com. One of the most controversial Arcade resource sites with many many games, the best of Modifications and people that do want to contribute. On the other hand, the atmosphere is rotten : people there claim SWF games as theirs ( i got banned from giving ONE to another board ), they ONLY give files in ZEND encryption so people do not spread them around ( but also not see the real code behind ) etc

Anyway, i got banned from there a week ago but i said what the heck, Cyber was kind enough to let me use ALL his Modifications for the Arcade : High Score robot, new game announcement, intelligent installers etc

The bitter news : these kids made all those files under ZEND encryption in order to HIDE MALICIOUS CODE that could POTENTIALLY : HALT the Arcade / DELETE GAMES - SCORES from it / SQL INJECT the forum / DELETE POSTS / TAKE OWNERSHIP on a site like this !!!

The exploit was found by another fella at that site, Tribalize - i have my information although i am not able to login there - and the exploit creators, Cyber & Mike left the site with all their work...

They took games they claim as theirs after they submitted in the download section there/ asked for post deletion / deletion of their MODs etc

The only reason iam posting that is :

I am using a ZEND version of the Arcade which, in simple english, is the best around.

All the fetures it has are hard, if not impossible, to find.

But, it is encrypted. Therefore, we can never be sure what the author has hidden in it. And the recent events definitely show me not to trust anybody, let alone the author is responsible for similar hacks.

This is a dilemma is obvious :

Any help on that decision would make me feel a lot better right now !
