Bah... I am AMD man myself, but I will never give AMD my hard earned money if Intel offers better price/performance ratio. AMD untill recently always offered more bang for the buck and that's why I loved it. But now it's simply charging too much.
Once Intel reclaims performance lead after 4 years of waiting, I'm hoping that we'll once again have cheap AMD processors. I've never owned Intel CPU in my life, but that can change, depending on prices Intel will set on Core2. Advantages of Athlon 64 X2 for Socket AM2: - compatible with future Socket AM3, chance for cheap upgrade - soon to be very cheap (or so I hope) - cheaper motherboards - available now - broader chipset support Advantages of Core2 - performace kicks ass - cooler - better overclocking potential Your site is interesting, but I think that over the years I've build more PCs myself than this company has. |
