Can you create a folder named " CON " ??????
nobody can create a FOLDER anywhere on the computer which can be named as "CON". This is something pretty cool...and unbelievable. .. At Microsoft the whole Team, including Bill Gates, couldn't answer why this happened! TRY IT NOW ,IT WILL NOT CREATE " CON " FOLDER ![]() ![]() ![]() -------------------- Be Kind And Courteous To People On Your Way Up, For You Might Meet Them On Your Way Down...

In the old MS-DOS day the COPY CON command was really useful. it has saved my a$$ many times when i was on a DOS box that had no text editor at all installed. What i did, i typed that command followed by the name and then put all text file content there, one lien after another. Slow method (and no edit on what you type), but still an option.
It is puzzling that Microsoft did not stop the reservation for the CON and even after 20 years thsi can't be used as a folder name -------------------- |
