If I was in your shoes and had money to burn, I would go with that Hitachi's 750 GB monster. Transfer speed is almost the same and you would get 600 GB of space more for about the same price.
Still, you can't beat low latencies (time between disk gets a request and finds the data on its plates) that Raptor offers. Faster motor does it's magic. I just hope it's not too loud.
