First off, the screen is too small so an old man like me can't see anything...lol
I played it in full screen to be able to see the bullets coming flying at me better. When shooting the aliens, do not complete a level right away...leave 4 on screen and wait for the ship to come across the top of the screen and shoot it...you can get anywhere from 1k-5k per ship.
