As far as my experience taught me ... ordering a DSP ( Delivery Service Partner” ) product means you have to use this on an OEM ( Original Equipment Manufacturer ) PC but apart from this there were no or little differences between the retail product...
MS seems to have changed the policies on the matter recently : Ordering Vista DSP means you either get a 32 or 64 bit installation DVD, while the retail provides both. This provides a reasonable price difference explanation, considering the DSP costs about 150€ in Greece while the retail goes up to 590, both for Ultimate Edition. So, imagine the surprise today receiving Office 2007 with NO CD or DVD media at all: you have to download and use the trial version and order media from Microsoft ( for 15€ that is, of course )... This is the DIY ( Do It Yourself ) Era ! -------------------- |
