Lately I have found two issues regarding my computer.
a) when I disconnect from the internet I get a small window and a countdown and after a minute my pc reboots. Note, this does not happen always or any time. Only sometimes when I disconnect from the internet.  when I shut down my computer I get to the screen "windows is shutting down" and it might need more than 5 or 7 minutes until the computer shuts down completely.Any ideas? I've checked for spyware and I've run antivirus scans, everything's clear... --------------------  |

this countdown you mention is very very similar to the original Blaster worm that emerged in the scene during summer 2004. The strongest variation, Sasser, is still circulating, hiting port 135 on undefended ( even Win XP SP2 integrated firewall can deal with that... ) computers.

I've quarantined them via spysweeper and I'm trying to find some reliable removal instructions or tools...

it seems there is no noticeabel spyware activity, but i download KB890830 from Microsoft ( Malicious Tool Cleaner ) just in case.
