I am looking at a project that needs into logistics barcodes and they need to integrated via RF signals through PC's.

Why RF ? You could use WiFi or Bluetooth with far better results

For start, with RF it will be almost impossible to have clear signal between floors with RF

It is not just an issue of strengthening the signal ... the Radio Frequency u r mentioning requires visual contact... this is not possible between the floors ...
