i for one believe you can be really close to a person thousands of miles away... and you can be thousands of miles away to a person really close to you...
sometimes the person sharing your bed can be the most distant of all and what made you post this in the Introductions section ...? this eludes my logic --------------------  |

I had a relationship like that that lasted 3 years... I lived in Athens, she studied in Aberdeen. It takes guts to keep it but at a certain time it becomes very hard and no matter what your feelings are you just can't stand it... It's very hard. Of course it depends on how much your love partner will live away and how much time before the relationship has started...

I agree with Manos that it depends on the circumstances.
When true sentiments and willingness exist it might be possible. I have a couple of friends who have tried and succeeded and others that have failed as well. -------------------- one life.live it well!

Without trying to be a feelingless brutal scum, it's hard when you need the person you love next to you, to kiss it, hug it, or have sex with and the distance is always an obstacle. So in order not to cheat and hurt each other, you are leaded to break up so that you can have a clean concince (?) no matter how that hurts...

Rare but possible, so I voted yes, because it can work under certain circumstances...also depends on the distance, the amount of communication, the length of time apart *look at the Military, they are away from there spouses for months to years at a time*, just all depends

I buried a stranger in November, I was married to him for 26 years and knew nothing other than that he was a compulsive liar and had only come to terms he was a sociopath. In the mean time I am maintaining a relationship with a man in Virginia who is sweet kind and all around wonderful. The answer is we all need to listen to and refine the gut instinct God gave us to alert us to danger. Whether we talk to them on line or around the corner, our gut instinct will kick in alerting us to danger, and it is imperitive for us to listen. Gut instinct can also tell us when we find the real thing too. Right now he is persuing a long time dream of becoming a nurse, so between work and studies, he would not have time. And he knows how much I have to heal from the battering I've taken. But he hinted the other day he's looking into the hospitals up here. He came up for a visit, and he was surprized that the dream was very real, but I knew that, he has been taken by how well we get along. He is a real sweetie!!! So yeah it works for a time. |
