hello everybody,

my pc suddenly collapsed and i cant turn it on. the power supply is ok i checked it with another pc.

any ideas?

ps when i push the on/off button the cpu fun turns only for a sec.

I had the same problem too... I started for a second and then turned off... I needed a new motherboard...

PSU issues, PSU overvoltage, motherboard off, all off ?

there can be many parts affected by it. Did you see any smoke coming out of the PSU ( Power Supply Unit ) ?

psu is ok. i cross checked it with another pc. I saw no smokes

then it can be (in that order, added...) board, ram, cpu, hd etc.

You need to get a voltage meter on the board to see what current it has when u turn it on. Then move hardware components to a different, healthy computer

Unfortunately, without more detailed proces of dying all that's left for u is "process of elimination" each and single one needs to be unpluged, pluged in, replaced and one by one u'll get there wink.gif
