I haven't been hardly anywhere and that is why I am sooooo excited about our European trip next May! I also might add that the U.S. is soooo huge ... I haven't even been all over it either 9 states out of 50. I so need to get out more!
However I have been to Denmark only once for 3 weeks. I remember this one the most. I had meant someone online a long time ago playing a game ... we talked for a couple years and decided it would be great fun for me to visit there and he to visit here. I had a great time when I was there. He took me to some of the tourist spots ... Tivoli which was beautiful and entertaining the shows were excellent, Den Gamelby this intrigued me and showed me the history of Denmark, the palace, little mermaid, and Hans Christian Andersens home and park. The beaches with the still remaining bunkers from the wars, slaps you in the face with historical reality. But the best part was being escorted around by a local, I was invited into homes, parties, dinners and pubs. The people were warm, friendly, accepting and so very fun! I have also been to Mexico 3 times - the first time was by accident, I missed my exit off the freeway and crossed the border. So it was just a U turn for me . The second time was to drop off a friend at the Tiajuana airport so that was like an hour. And the third time was for a shopping trip in Tiajuana ... that was fun and I had an excellent margarita and taco dinner! Woohoo! I keep meaning to go back, I want to visit Rosarita beach - total surfing community, but I haven't made it yet. And thats it for my worldly travels. -------------------- Look at me now, I am the green fairy! A.K.A. the Recipe Queen, do you know why ?

Ok, my turn. I was not keen on the travel lifestyle for many years ( well, lack of chance too ) so i made my first trip rather late : it was 3 years ago.
But what a trip ! I spent a week with my girl in Prague, Czech Republic which many consider the MOST beautiful city in Europe ( i do too ). There were so many places to see there : the Charles' Bridge, Vitus cathedral, Jewish cemetery, but the real thing is not in specific monuments. The whole city is like a Disneyland town, so much history, so much art... I mean, you walk at night and you see unknown musicians improvise next to you or painters working all around the city capturing the beauty of it ! Next trip : Madrid, Spain. Now where to start ! Unforgettable journey, me, my girl, my brother, his wife, my girl's brother visiting a country where people had so many similarities with our culture and way of living that we thought we were still in Greece ! Mediterranean people have a lot in common but i believe greeks share more with Spanish than Italian. The Santiago Bernabeu stadium, a Myth ! ( I am a Real Madrid fan ), the flamengo, the city in Saturday at the bazzar, the Reigna Sofia Museum.... Then, out of Madrid : Toledo, where time stood still, you feel you live in Medieval times ! I will definitely go again there ! Next trip : last February, Hannover, Germany, the Cebit Exhibition. This was a business trip, but we are talking about the biggest computer exhibition worldwide. Imagine me there... Not much to talk about the city - little free time to be a tourist - but i can chat about the exhibition for hours ! Oh, another trip : Bulgaria, June 2005 ( yes, after ourforum was born ). Well, so many differences with a country you can go by car... next to us ! I loved Bulgaria although i got a bit depressed by the wasy people live there. Still, they were so hospitable, generous and kind to us, although sometimes we had serious language and communication problems ! I saw, Sofia, Plondiv, and some smaller towns like Radic, Pernic ... Can't wait for the next trip ! -------------------- |

I've been to (in no particular order) these European countries:
UK (England & Scotland) France Germany (greeting to Berlin and Munich) Austria Spain Italy Switzerland Andorra Liechtenstein Luxemburg The Netherlands (Holland) Belgium Czech Republic Slovakia Jugoslavia (before the division) Polland Please forgive any spelling mistakes. I don't remember nor the order or the number of times I've visited these countries. I would like to visit Scandinavian countries and Portugal from Europe and I would very much like to cross the Atlantic sometime and visit USA, as many islands as I can in the Caribbean and Brazil & Mexico (among others). And of course I wouldn't turn down an opportunity to visit Singapore, Thailand etc. Africa and Australia are at the bottom of my list, maybe wrongly... |

I've travelled through many countries in Europe, but i still haven't seen them all..
At the age of 7 I had travelled to Belgium and Luxembourg by car and it took us 4 whole days to get there. In order to get to our destinantion we passed through Macedonia (FYROM), Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany. I stayed in Belgium for about 1 1/2 month and i've also visited Netherlands that time. Thank god i 've returned to Greece by plane It took me some ages to get out of Greece, but my next trip was in Spain, Barcelona with my University...On our way back we visited Czech Republc, Prague. The next year I've visited Italy, (3rd year in Uni) we went there by car so we had the chance to see a great part of Italy. I've stayed in Rome and in Florence... Well...They say that travelling teaches you a lot...So at my uni we couldn't stop planning excersions... So, after a year we visited Portugal, Lisboa it was 1 1/2 month before the EURO. That's why we won that time ! Ah...I forgot to write that on our way to Portugal we stayed 1 day in Switzerland, Geneva. (You wouldn't believe how clean this city is...You could lick the pavement without sticking any desease.lol) My travelling ends at Germany, Berlin (last year).... (Great beers) Now i'm planning my next trip in Nethelands, Amsterdam as soon as I finish my Uni...It's gonna be my gift for getting my diploma... I just hope I'll get the chance for once in my life to visit New York... That's all,I'll post some pics when I'll find some spare time |

I haven't traveled much, unfortunately. There are many reasons for it, but the greatest were poverty and isolation of my country in the previous years. I've only been to Greece, 10 years ago.

I have in general travelled a lot in Greece and abroad for leisure and for business as well. I strongly believe that travelling makes you more open minded since you have the chance to get to know other cultures and civilisations. It is for sure that after a trip you never return to your country the same, something always changes in you.
Cities I have travelled to for business for quite a long time have worked in for more than one month and so had the opportunity to go sightseeing as well at company's expenses? Geneve, London, Brussels, Madrid. Cities I have visited only for leisure: Paris, Rome, Venice, Verona, Pompei, Tuscany, Segovia, Budapest, Chichago. As far as Greece is concerned: Kefalonia, Rhodes, Creta, Paros, Naxos, Zakynthos, Ydra, Aigina, Tinos. -------------------- one life.live it well!

I love travelling and my dream is to travel all over the world....
My first trip abroad was at the age of 16 in UK. For 2 weeks we were living in a university in a suburb of London, we did some summer lessons, and we had so much fun... I saw of course London, Oxford and nearby places. 2 years after I went with my school to a 7-day trip to Italy. We travelled almost 24 hours to go there (and the same to get us back to Greece) inside a huge cruise ship (with nine floors)! It was great!. We visited Ancona, San Marino, Ravenna, Venice, Verona, Florence and some other cities that I don't remember right now... Some years later I travelled to Hungary and to beautiful Budapest. I went with my mother and we had a wonderful time there. The same year (some months later)I went to Czech Republic and the wonderful, beautiful Prague. I loved this city! I want to go there again...soon. Next year I visisted Madrid in Spain. We were 5 persons and we had a very nice time there. There are many similarities with Greeks so it was easier for us to communicate. We saw a wonderful flamengo show. We also visited the medieval Toledo, a beautiful place. That's all from me... so far. Hope that my next trip will not be far away... -------------------- Imagination sets the spirit free,

I have been to:
France, Germany, Spain, Domincan Republic, Crand Canaria, Canada. I lived in Germany for 3 years when I was in the Army, and has to be one of the cleanest countries I have ever seen. I Moved to Nova Scotia, Canada with my parents when I was 3 months old. We stayed there until I was 5 years old and moved back to Scotland. The other countries are one's I have just been on holiday to. -------------------- [center]
