and today ... i moved from 160GB to 320GB
Today i received Guitar Hero - Van Halen from Amazzon.co.uk and Buzz from e-shop.gr and also upgraded - again ! - the PS3 2,5" HD ... when i first bought the PS3 back in May 2008 it was a 40GB model, so naturally i changed the HD during Christmas 2008 with a nice WD Scorpio 2,5" 160GB 7200RPM 16MB cache and since then my needs for local storage have increased due to storing M2TS files from my HD camera locally along with the DLNA, so today i installed a similar Scorpio - 320GB this time. The backup / restore process within XMB can take ages... 2 hours for each stage. Source : http://www.rockhero.gr/forum/index.php?showtopic=2337

Having a big HD can be quite beneficial for a PS3, you can store videos, game updates or even use it effectively as a PVR with endless recording time

i had to choose back then between Scorpio 500BEKT and 500BJKT that was nowhere to be found
BEKT was only option for 500GB and who needed the G sensor, we are using it in a PS3 and not a laptop but now i need to upgrade soon and i have to choose between 750BEKT and 750BPKT and i think i will only be able to find BPKT which uses a newer sector technology i will have to make sure there are no issues with PS3 -------------------- |
