Recipe Ingredients

- Makes: 4 Servings
- Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons margerine
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 1/2 pound mushrooms,
- coarsely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 10 ounces frozen broccoli thawed
- 1 1/2 cups matzoh meal farfel
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons fresh basil,
- chopped (or one teaspoon dry)
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe Instructions

Preparation:
Melt maragerine in a skillet.
Saute chopped onions until soft.
Add mushrooms and garlic; saute until most of the liquid has evaporated.
Transfer to medium bowl and allow to cool.
Stir in chopped broccoli & farfel.
Mix egg and egg yolk and add to broccoli-farfel mixture.
Stir in seasonings.
Put mixture into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 minutes or until done.
