Recipe Ingredients

- 1 large package of pasta shells
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste, divided
- 3 paste cans water, divided
- 1 (15 oz) carton Ricotta cheese
- 4 Cups Shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 egg

Recipe Instructions

Prepare shells according to package directions, drain and set aside. Saute' beef, onion, garlic and green pepper until beef is browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in 1/2 can tomato past and 2 cans water. Simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Combine 1/2 can tomato paste and 1 can water. Spoon into 13x9.3 inch baking dish. Combine recotta cheese, 2 cups mozzarella cheese and egg. Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons meat mixture into each pasta shell, place on tomato sauce in pan and top each stuffed shell with 1 to 2 table spoons cheese mixture. Sprinkl 2 cups mozzarella chees over shells. Bake, Covered, at 400 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
