What is RSAlert?

RSAlert is a program that alerts you whenever you get a new point or
your bandwidth is ending on RS.com. It is customizable and versatile
little application that will check on an interval that you specify and
give you a couple of curiosities such as points per hour and time left
until the next 10000 points.

So, what's so great about RSAlert?

Well, if you like control over your applications, then this is a
perfect solution if you are a Rapidshare.com uploader. Not only that,
but it also warns you when you are low on bandwidth so you can keep
track of how much you are downloading. We've also come up with a high
score system, just for curiosity, although likely to be more used
competitively against friends and other people.

High scores, you say?

That's right. It is an opt-in ranking system that allows you to
compete against other people on a global scale to see who can get the
most points. Don't worry, none of your account information is sent,
but just to be on the safe side, make sure to register with an account
different than your RS account. If you want to participate that is.

I don't trust this, how do I know that you're not going to steal my
account?

I don't blame you. One of the reasons I started this project was
because I didn't really trust the alternative either, and I felt I
could do the same or better with my own program. Still, I cannot
expect you to trust me and as such, I won't. You can analyze what
information the program sends and if you're still not convinced, the
source code is included if you want to compile the program yourself.

Hey, your program crashes or is buggy.

Damn. Oh well, I've tried to cover every possible bug scenario, but
still it's hard to make sure there are none. If you happen to find any
bugs, just let me know and I'll try and fix it if I can reproduce the
bug myself.
