This is not XRUSA but Nick using her compuer which is ( or was ? ) not able to connect to any remote location...
It seems the DNS data was corrupt and the DNS server was : 207.69.188.186, resolving to : EarthLink, Inc. OrgID: ERMS Address: 1375 PEACHTREE ST, LEVEL A City: ATLANTA StateProv: GA PostalCode: 30309 Country: US I could not connect to this site or most foreign ones so i had to use other means... i checked via Blackberry and i encountered this: IE "Cannot find server or DNS error" i was advised to use Firefox. I did... and it worked like a charm where not even PING command was available... then i had to solve IE issues... i had to go to this page: Repair Internet Explorer 6 and RE-INSTALL IE6 SP2... Still awaiting restart so if you do not hear from me any more then the PC is DOOMED. --------------------     |

it appears that after installing IE6 from scratch ( using the smart link provided above ) it all works fine.
I left the computer working fine on its tasks. --------------------    c:\ When the going gets tough, the tough get going ... |
