a very good friend showed me the way, there are new AIML files for the A.L.I.C.E robot and i got eager to upgrade Electra !!!

First i had to get into this error:

When this script is done running you should see text that says "DONE LOADING." If the script times out it is probably because your PHP is running in safe mode. If this is the case use the file botloaderinc.php to load your AIML files.

then i reinstalled the old AIML files and to my surprise, it all went fine :

and what was wrong ?

Well,

Sometimes the "smart" bird is caught by the nose...

i used Teleport Pro to download the files and it saved all of them as AIML.HTML and then i used Magic File Renamer to make them look like AIML. And i insist on look like because i used Beyond Compare right now after saving one of them by right clicking ..

In the end it took a staggering amount of time of 400 secs for a full AIML upgrade !!!

I will time the process here as we move on to the operation phase.

The archives listed here are automatically generated whenever the AAA set is updated. The files are automatically processed using a script that attempts to correct known errors in the set, and to properly assign namespace URIs and prefixes in order to work correctly with Program D (and any other modern, namespace-aware interpreter).

These are the AIML files for A.L.I.C.E., the original AIML bot. The only update in many years is to make the set use namespaces, and to repair/remove invalid AIML.
